Receiving Organization Earnings

Money flows in a couple different ways, depending on how families pay for gift cards (there are 3 options). No matter which way your families pay, your organization receives the same rebate.

If families pay for an eGift card or reload a physical card with a credit card or a linked bank account, their payment goes directly to ShopWithScrip. We track these rebates earned by families in your organization and make one weekly deposit into your organization’s bank account. To keep track of these deposits, an “Online Payment Auto Order Deposit Slip” report is available from the Reports page.

Example - When a family orders a $100 Starbucks eGift card with a 7% rebate and pays online:

If families pay for a physical card with a credit card or a linked bank account, their payment is reflected on your purchase order as an “Online Payment Credit” when you check out. The family pays the face value of their gift card order directly to ShopWithScrip through their credit card or bank account. Then your organization’s order total is reduced by the amount of their payment. This way, your organization receives the rebate as soon as you submit your purchase order. Any rebate credits are submitted to your organization’s linked bank account.

Example - When a family orders a $100 Starbucks physical gift card with a 7% rebate and pays online:

If families pay for any gift card by check, they give you a check for the face value of their gift card order. Then you pay ShopWithScrip the gift card value minus the rebate amount. This way, your organization receives the rebate as soon as you place your order.

Disclaimer
If a family’s online payment is returned or rejected for any reason, the organization may incur a $30 fee. If the order had already been approved and released by the coordinator, the organization would be responsible for the cost of the order and collecting the funds directly from the family. More information can be found in the Organization Terms of Use.
